It put us a little further north so we could do some sightseeing in that direction. We decided to see Montezuma&#8217;s Castle and the town of Sedona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-2so0i\">It turns out that it is not a castle and has nothing to do with Montezuma. It was occupied as a &#8220;temporary&#8221; home for 700 years. It is located right next to the Verde River and was a lush, very rich area. It is known for both the beautiful mountains and the art that comes out of the area. I found the town itself not very interesting. It seemed like just another tourist town, with t-shirts and trinkets. We did succumb to the temptations and bought matching red dirt T-shirts. You&#8217;ll see them in a future photo. I&#8217;m sure there are nice stores and lots to see, but it isn&#8217;t very evident on a short visit.
