KOFA National Wildlife Refuge

Our travels have been slowed as we hunker down amid the national Covid-19 pandemic. We do find a few places to visit though. KOFA National Wildlife Refuge is south of Quartzsite, about an hour from where we are in Yuma. We went in search of rocks that Kate can paint. See what she has done so far! Kate’s Rocks . The link is also on the main page of this web site.

In any case, I told her that there would be LOTS of rocks to pick from there in the washes so off we went. What we found was sharp rocks that weren’t suitable at all. Oh well.

Daphne had a great time – so much poo to collect and eat! She found a pile, grabbed it and then ran from us. It was great fun for her.
