Work Done this Summer

Wow! We got so many changes completed this summer. Our home is beautiful.

Let’s see – we reupholstered the captains chairs – we installed blinds in the front – Kate made curtains for the other windows – we installed a new kitchen – new kitchen lights – new awning with sun shade – a new sink, counter, and faucet in the bathroom – a new hot water heater – new tires – lithium batteries – a battery monitor – tire pressure monitoring system – and engine maintenance. Whew!

Our bathroom model was the most ambitious project this summer – more photos on a previous blog – here: HERE

On our way back from getting Daphne in Iowa we had a rear tire blow out. No damage to the camper but we lost two tires. We bought one and put the spare on. Then we found out the spare was the wrong size so we bought two more for the front and put one of the others on as the spare – lots of new rubber but we feel good. We also installed a TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system). It cost much less than I thought it would and it works great. It has a blue tooth connection to each tire and runs off of solar.

Battery monitor – not only volts but state of charge.

We had been looking for new captains chairs for quite a while and couldn’t find one’s we liked at a price we could afford. We found an upholstery company in Rapid City that did a beautiful job on them. They are comfy and pretty.

We redid the bathroom sink with a new basin, counter top and faucet. Makes the shower look bad…

New blinds for the front – it really gives it a homey feeling.

We also had some engine maintenance done – oil change – packed the bearings – transmission oil and filter changed – tires rotated – and a general check of the outside. Everything is ready for the next big adventure starting in a few weeks.

There is just water in that bowl!

Did I hear ADVENTURE!
