Kate has never been to the northeast so this has been quite a trip for her. We have spent most of the time seeing the coastal areas – Portland, Cundys Harbor, Camden, Rockland, Belfast, Round Pond among them. Lot’s of rocks and seaweed and water.
It’s been interesting for me to come back after a number of years and see the sights as a tourist. No longer personally invested in the area I can see it more objectively, and it is beautiful. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as we enjoyed visiting the areas and taking them.

We had a great time in Rockland. We visited the Owl’s Head lighthouse and then had a wonderful seafood dinner at the harbor.

We went to Cundy’s Harbor for lunch and at on the Wharf. Kate’s first Maine fish & chips. I grew up in this area and it is just about the same as I remember it – maybe a little tidier.

Pemaquid Point was fantastic. As you can see we have had beautiful weather. We took Daphne with us and she was overwhelmed. She wasn’t sure what to sniff because there was so much new.

Pemaquid Lighthouse. A very popular painting subject.
Not greatest photo – but we had to visit the L L Bean boot!
Finally – we were at Lands End in Harpswell Maine where there is a large tourist gift shop on the point. They had lots of special offerings.
